Goldendoodles vs Cavapoos…which one should you get?

Sometimes it is hard to know if you would prefer a Goldendoodle or a Cavapoo! They are certainly more similar than they are different and often the breeds get mistaken for each other. Both are adorable, sweet-natured, playful, loyal, and very smart. Oh, and don’t forget…hypoallergenic which makes them very desirable for those with allergies.

Goldendoodles

Our Mini Goldendoodles are a mix between a Goldendoodle or a Golden Retriever and a Mini Poodle. Goldendoodles are known for being great family dogs because they bond easily with their humans, kids, and other pets. Mini Goldendoodles tend to be of moderate energy and they do require regular exercise. They love to play! Goldendoodles coats vary from wavy to curly in texture and they do require regular grooming which is something you need to consider when getting a mini Goldendoodle puppy. They are friendly, curious, loving, and with proper training will be very obedient. Learn more about our Mini Goldendoodles here.

Cavapoos

Our Cavapoos are a mix of a King Cavalier Charles Spaniel and a Mini Poodle. Cavapoos are known for their gentle, sweet natures, and they are great companions because of this. Cavapoos tend to be of lower to moderate energy and they require moderate exercise. Cavapoos also love to play and especially so as puppies. However, they are generally known as one of the calmest small Doodle breeds. Like Goldendoodles, Cavapoos coats vary from wavy to curly in texture and they do require regular grooming which is something you need to consider when getting a mini Cavapoo puppy. They have such a strong devotion to and love for their families. Learn more about our Cavapoos here.

The Verdict…

You cannot go wrong with either of these breeds as they are both so cuddly, cute, smart, and downright adorable. They make great companions and family dogs. Often a choice is made by which type of puppy is available when the family is ready to bring their new pal home.
